Tesla increases the price for “Full Self-Driving” (FSD) in the USA

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has announced that starting September 5 2022 the prices for the option “Full Self-Driving” in the USA are increasing – from currently 12.000 See you soon 15.000 U.S. dollar. For people who order their car from Tesla before September 5th 2020, the old price will still apply for a later delivery.

This is already the second price increase: at the beginning 2022 FSD still cost 10.000 U.S. dollar . At least in Germany, we are currently even cheaper: FSD (so far) costs “only” 7.500 Euro. Musk also reminds users on Twitter that full self-driving does not necessarily have to be booked directly at the time of purchase. It is also possible to buy this at any time afterwards via the Tesla app.

After wide release of FSD Beta 12.69 .2, price of FSD will rise to $10k in North America on September 5th.

Current price will be honored for orders made before Sept 5th, but delivered later.

It is currently unclear whether the prices for the FSD subscriptions will also increase. It should be mentioned that FSD is currently still in beta and cannot / may not be used worldwide. Elon Musk has indicated in the past that prices would continue to rise as the final version gets closer.
