Disney has already announced its ad-supported subscription tier for Disney+ (along with a price increase) – and Netflix should follow suit early next year. It has been known for a long time that Netflix will use a subscription level with advertising. The first clues have now been found in the source code of the Netflix app. Of course, it’s not about prices or general functions – but one thing seems clear: Netflix will not offer any downloads in the advertising-supported subscription level, so users will not be able to watch any films or series without an Internet connection. Of course, Netflix may still make changes as development progresses.
