Amazon Fashion: Virtual try-on feature for sunglasses is available

Amazon is always trying to find new ways to improve the shopping experience. Since 16. August a function is available in the app that some of you probably already know from other sites such as Mr. Spex. It’s about trying on sunglasses virtually. Amazon calls the whole thing “Virtual Try-On” and is initially offering it for sunglasses from brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Hawkers, Polaroid, Carrera, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade and others.

If you want to try it out, navigate to https://www.amazon.de/virtualtryon on your mobile and open the link in the app. Then choose a pair of glasses. A button for the virtual fitting is now presented to you under the glasses. If you tap on it, you still want access to the camera and you can look at your face including glasses.

Amazon would like to gradually add this function to other fashion items such as shoes.
