Ailigeng · Yimingbahai and Aisihaiti · Kelimu and leaders from the Party Committee, People’s Congress, Government, CPPCC and Xinjiang Military District of the autonomous region attended the ceremony and watched the performances.

Li Yi, standing member of Party Committee, minister of Publicity Department and the vice director of the First Xinjiang (China)International Dance Festival made a speech at the conclusion ceremony. He said, the dance festival is like a mental feast, which makes people feel the light of life in the beauty of art and taste the sensation and warmth of life. And the festival also make people mourning for the victims in Wenchuan earthquake and cherishing life more, appreciating the times, creating better life and reconstructing homes. Chinese people write a carol for the splendid life once again and Chinese people will do their utmost to present the world with a wonderful and successful Beijing Olympics.

Li Yi expressed thanks to people from all circles who supported the consummation of this dance festival on behalf of Party Committee, government and more than 20 million people of different nationalities and expected that they could meet again in the name of dance in near future.

At the conclusion ceremony, Du Qinrui, vice director of the standing committee of People’s Congress of Xinjiang and Ke Li, president of Xinjiang People's Political Consultative Conference awarded the prizes to 16 troupes including Ethiopia State Theater, Shanxi Huajin Singing and Dance Troupe, Xinjiang Singing and Dance Troupe and 7 actors in “Forbidden Fruits under the Great Wall” including Ren Zhongjie. Besides, 7 troupes were conferred with “Cultural Harmony Prize” and 8 troupes were conferred with “International Friendship Prize”.

The conclusion ceremony was presided by Li Dongwen, director general of External Cultural Communication of the Ministry of Culture, the secretary-general of the First Xinjiang (China) International Dance Festival.

The First Xinjiang (China) International Folk Dance Festival was jointly hosted by State Ministry of Culture, People’s Government of Xinjiang, State Department New Office, and it took 11 days with 45 performances; At the same time, “Forum on the Art of Ethnic Dances” and “Cultural Art Exhibition” were held, which made about 50 thousand audiences from all over Xinjiang enjoy the wonderful, splendid and gorgeous dance art and cultural glamour from the countries and nationalities of Asia, Africa, America.

At the conclusion ceremony, 11 people including the writer from the dance circle Jia Zuoguang and Bai Shuxiang who were invited to be the judges of the “Dance Festival”drafted “Proclamation of Xinjiang (China) International Dance Festival”. The “Proclamation” highly praised the “Dance Festival” and expressed true sensation and desirable expectations to protect, undertake and promote the ethnic traditional dances of the world and continue to hold a satisfying Xinjiang (China) International Dance Festival.

After the ceremony concluded, artists and performers from China Xinjiang Military Cultural and Art Troupe, Xinjiang Art College, Xinjiang Theater, Xinjang Muqam Art Troupe and Hetian Prefecture, Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Bayingeleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Tulufan Prefecture and so on and the artist of French Polynesia Singing and Dance Troupe, Greek “Dora • Siteladu" Theater and Ethiopia State Theater performed a sized special performance of the conclusion ceremony “ Dances of Xinjiang” consisting of “Brook on the Silk Road”, “Pastoral for the Grassland”, “Eagles of the Iceberg” and “Daolang in the Desert”.
