On the afternoon of Jan.16th, Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of CPC XJ Committee joined the deliberation on the government work report by Urumqi delegation to the 1st session of the 11th NPC XJ Committee.
In the deliberation, Lu Xiangbao, Ma Jun, Gao Ximei, Wu Jialin, Zhang Peng and Alimu Rehefu put forward their opinions and suggestions on the issues of enhancing soft strength of the city, promoting the development of Midong District, expanding development space for private-owned enterprises, and so on. Wang Lequan listened carefully, made detailed notes and exchanged his ideas with the deputies.
Wang Lequan said that the deputies made reasonable remarks and provided XJ’s development with a lot of good suggestions.
As refers to XJ’s development, Wang Lequan pointed out that, XJ is a relatively underdeveloped region in terms of economic development speed. However, we should realize that, in these years, the state has given many favorable policies to the provinces and autonomous regions in west China, including XJ. This greatly promotes the development of west China. Generally speaking, the development speed and quality of west China inclusive of XJ is far slower than the middle and east China. According to the overall development goal of the state, XJ should accelerate the self-development pace, stick to advantageous resources transformation strategy, continuously optimize the industrial structure and strive to narrow the gap with middle and east China. Thus realizing sound and rapid development of XJ’s economy and society.
Yang Gang, member of CPC XJ Standing Committee, executive vice chairman of XJ Uygur Autonomous Region also joined the deliberation.
