More than 100 people enjoyed the performance by Xinjiang Art Troupe at the Oslo Music Hall in the capital of Norway on September 16. Norwegian people were fascinated by the distinctive folk arts.

The music hall was also decorated with 80 photos about Xinjiang, 50 minority dresses and 20 unique Xinjiang folk musical instruments.

Gao Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Norway, said there were 47 minority groups in Xinjiang and the place was a meeting point for eastern and western cultures.

Government officials, business people and overseas students in Norway attended the performance and exhibition.

Norwegian friends spoke highly of the performance. Mr Alas, head of Norway Folk Custom Museum, said the performance was wonderful and the art troupe was of world’s first rate.
