The central government and Xinjiang regional government have allocated 680 million Yuan for disaster-relief. The fund is used to guarantee the basic life of people affected by snow and other disasters in last winter and this spring.

The heavy snow this spring destroyed Dawur's house and storehouse. After survey, Burqin County listed the houses of Dawur and other over 330 households of herdsmen into rebuilding project. They will move into new houses by this Sep. At the same time, every household can get 8,000 Yuan to 30,000 Yuan of subsidy for rebuilding their houses.

In Ili Prefecture, the farmers learned a lesson from collapse of greenhouses. They reconstruct greenhouses following a scientific design.

This year, Ili plans to rebuild 5000 greenhouses. Now, all counties and city are busy reconstructing and repairing greenhouses.

The heavy snow, snow-melting floods, earthquake, windstorm and other disasters this year affected over 4 mln farmers and herdsmen in XJ. The direct economic losses reached nearly 4.7 bln yuan.
