The Government Work Report puts forward that, the state would enhance the support on the import and export and try to maintain the stable increase of foreign trade. NPC deputies and CPPCC members are confident in the development of foreign trade.

Last year, despite of the declining global economic growth and more uncertain economic factors in the neighboring countries, XJ's foreign trade value still reached 22.217 bln USD, with an increase of 62%. The increasing margin ranked the 1st in Mid and West China and the 2nd nationwide. In order to enhance its opening up, XJ sets the target of economic growth that its foreign trade value will reach 27.8 bln USD, realizing a rise of 25%.

CPPCC member Feng Dongming suggests that government should give more support to enterprises to promote the development of foreign trade.

FENG DONGMING CPPCC MEMBER GOVERNMENT'S SUPPORT TO ENTERPRISES:

"I hope that the tariff for the export enterprises should be balanced, then the pressure and risk of the export enterprises will be lessened when they suffers from trade protectionism."

NPC deputy Halida Nu'ermaimaiti holds that, XJ should build up an international trade center to promote XJ's economy.

HALIDA NU'ERMAIMAITI NPC DEPUTY INT'L TRADE CENTER TO PROMOTE XJ'S ECONOMY:

"We plan to build up an international trade center, taking Urumqi as a center, radiating to south and north XJ. It is conducive to the development of both domestic and foreign trade enterprises, and also good for the cooperation of the foreign trade enterprises, pushing forward XJ's export."

NPC deputy Luo Jinbao thinks that XJ should intensify railway construction to foster foreign trade.

LUO JINBAO NPC DEPUTY RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION TO FOSTER FOREIGN TRADE:

"We will get through the passages to outside XJ and the rest of the world for foreign trade. Nearly 25 railways will be completed and open to traffic in due form. We plan to open 4 int'l ports, then the abundant resources including natural gas, metal mineral, coal from the 4 countries in Central Asia can be imported and exported with our country easily."
