Industrial parks are gradually becoming the important carriers and effective platforms to put forward new type industrialization and upgrading of industries.

This year,the 2.5 megawatt wind power generator made by XJ Gold Wind Science & Technology Co.,Ltd. has entered the prototype trial-manufacture phase.It makes a new breakthrough in the capacity of similar techniques in nationwide. However, 10 years ago, the company was only a factory taking up 28 mu land when it settled down in Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone.Now,it has become the largest wind power generater manufacturer in China. Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone also makes its efforts to build up the largest wind power generator manufacturing base in scale depending on the enterprise.

Now,the contribution rate of industry to national economy reaches 62% at Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone.Its 8 production enterprises are among the World Top 500,and 15 are among China Top 500. The zone has become the most centralized development zone with modern manufacturing in XJ.

In Sep.2007,Foton Lovol Int'l Heavy Industries Co.,Ltd, settled down in Midong District.The company cooperated with XJ Guanghui Industry Investment Co.,Ltd, and set up XJ Lovol Guanghui Tractor Co.,Ltd. After one-year's development, the company can produce 10,000 tractors in one year.

As the breakthrough and demo area of the integration of Urumqi and Changj, Midong District will be constructed into the largest manufacturing industry base while developing coal,petrochemical and other traditional industries.In 2007, the industrial prodcution value of Midong District was 31.5 bln yuan and the industrial added value was over 6 bln yuan.

Till 2007,the industrial parks and development zones number 32 in whole XJ. The investment on the infrastructure construction of the industrial parks accumulated to 13.6 bln yuan.The approved industrial parks completed industrial added value of 19.3 bln yuan, taking up 14% of the total in XJ. 6,906 enterprises had settled down in the industrial parks of XJ,completed 77.2 bln yuan of investment.
