In order to form a modern logistics network that radiates Central Asia and the neighboring provinces and regions, XJ will make full use of its geograhpical and resource advantages,and construct 21 logistics centers and freight stations in 7 pivotal transport cities before 2015 with 1 bln Yuan, thus making it an important access between Central Asian countries and inland provinces.

According to the plan, the 21 logistics centers and freight stations will cover 2.12 mln square meters,with the construction area of about 790,000 square meters.They will be respectively set up in Urumqi, Hami, Korla, Kashgar, Kuitun and Horgas of Ining. And they will become the important parts of the 179 pivitol highway transport cities in China.

Presently,the comprehensive transportation network in XJ has been initially formed, convenient and safe grade-separated traffic pattern,taking Urumqi as the center and four means of transportation, including highway, railway, airline and pipeline.XJ China and its neighbouring countries have opened 54 bilateral entry-exit cargo transport lines. It is the important basis for developing international logistics. According to the plan, in 2015,the total number of cargo trucks in operation in XJ will reach 280,000. An international logistics network that takes Urumqi as the center, relys on the Category-B ports and radiates to Central Asia can realize cargo sending within 24 hours in a distance of less than 1200 kilometers.

In a few years, XJ will cultivate about 10 large scale cargo transport and logistics companies and key transport enterprises(cargo enterprises above grade 4) that can lead the highway transport development and transport market. Their market share will reach 35%, and the number of professional logistics enterprises will reach 100.
