Of late days, XJ Reform and Development Commission publicized the reference price for the cotton purchase in this year. The price for standard grade fine staple cotton is 600 yuan per dan, same as that in 2007.

This year,the total planting area of cotton in XJ is 26.8 mln mu. Now the cotton has entered the picking period in east and north XJ.And the predicted total output is 2.8 mln tons.
