On the afternoon of Sep.8th, the 9th geological prospecting team under XJ Geology and Mining Bureau signed a cooperation agreement with Australia Arrow Energy. They plan to invest 100 mln yuan in the 1st phase project on prospecting and exploration of coalbed methane in south Junggar Basin coalmine. This is also the 1st project of joint exploration on coalbed methane under the cooperation between XJ enterprise and foreign company.
At present, coalbed methane has been put into use in US, Germany, Russia and many other countries.
