The work conference of science and technology support XJ and Tianshan Innovation Symposium, co-hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology, XJ People's Government and XJPCC, opened in Urumqi on August 28th.

Wan Gang,vice chairman of CPPCC National Committee, Minister of Science and Technology, Nuer Baikeli,deputy secretary of CPC XJ Committee, chairman of XJ Uygur Autonomous Region attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches.

According to incomplete statistics, among the 1st batch of science and technology support XJ cooperation demands in 2007, 144 have settled down in XJ. This year, Ministry of Science and Technology publicized 343 cooperation demands in nationwide, and most of them have reached agreement of intents.
