XJ will accelerate the construction of farm produces export bases in Ili River Valley, Tacheng Basin, Kashgar, Aksu and Altay that with good condition for export-oriented agriculture,thus promoting the export-oriented agriculture development.

In recent years,all places of XJ develop facility agriculture through adjusting agriculture industrial structure and export farm produces such as vegetables, melons and fruits to neighbouring countries relying on port advantage.In 2007,the area of facility agriculture in whole XJ reached 626,000 mu, and it produced 2 mln tons off-season vegetables, melons and fruits. The production value reached 3.142 bln yuan. Among which,the accumulative export value of products was 596 mln USD, increased by 48.7% compared with that in 2006.

It is learned that, with the economy revival in Central Asia, their demand for farm produces increases day by day. However, presently, there is a great deficiency of farm produces in these countries, and they will depend on export in quite some time in the future.

At present, XJ is taking investigation and making out enforcement suggestion on accelerating export-oriented agriculture development.
