On the morning of Aug.21st, there were two matches of the women's beach volleyball at Beijing Olympic Games. Wang Jie and Tian Jia were defeated by U.S. defending champion Walsh and May Treanor after 2 sets and finally got silver medal.

Before that, Chinese beach volleyball players Xue Chen and Zhang Xi won over the Brazil team and got bronze medal at 2:0.

The final of women's beach volleyball match was held in the heavy rain. Although Wang Jie and Tian Jia tried their best, they lost the two sets with the same score of 18:21, and defeated by Walsh and May Treanor.

In Sydney Olympics, Chinese women's beach volleyball team got the 19th，and 9th in Athens Olympic Games. Now Chinese team won two medals in this Olympics. Chinese Women Beach Volleyball team brings a big surprise for us.
