In the 1st half of this year, the agricultural insurance realized 1.383 bln yuan of contracted insurance fee, with an increase of 204%, offering solid risk guarantee for the agricultural development.

It is learned that, in the 1st six months, the area of underwriting cotton, rice, wheat, oil seed rape and green house crops of agricultural insurance reached 36.19 mln mu. And 304,800 heads of cattle and sheep.

There are two main reasons for the rapid increase of agricultural insurance fee. One is that the central finance enhanced the support on agricultural insurance and enlarged subsidy scale. The other is that agricultural insurance companies expand business, thus enlarging the policy agricultural insurance coverage.
