Up to early August this year, the crude oil import through Sino-Kazakhstan Crude Oil Pipeline topped 10 mln tons, symbolizing the smooth operation of the first land oil import pipeline in China.

According to the statistics released by Urumqi Customs, since this pipeline started operation in July 2006, it had transported 10.00315 mln tons of crude oil to China till August 9th this year. More crude oil has been transporting to China from Kazakhstan through the pipeline, which offers energy guarantee for sustainable development of China's economy.

As time goes by, this land oil pipeline runs more smoothly, and the oil transportation volume increases day by day.

The transported oil increased to close to 400,000 tons monthly in 2007 from 300,000 tons monthly in 2006. And the monthly average oil transport volume in 2008 has reached 480,000 tons.Among which, the monthly transported oil in April 2008 topped 500,000 tons. It is learned that, the crude oil transport volume through Sino-Kazakhstan Crude Oil Pipeline is expected to reach 10 mln tons annually.
