Featured Planting & Breeding Make Up For Loss

In order to reduce the loss caused by the drought, this year, all places of XJ guide the farmers to develop featured planting and breeding to increase their income in various ways.

In Ili, the local government encourages farmers to plant featured cash crops. The per-unit yield of 30 mu tomato planted by Min Fupeng, a grower in the fine strain breeding center of Huocheng County,reaches 6,000 kg.

This year we sufferred from severe drought. While tomato needs less irrigation and fertilizer. The per mu income reaches 2400 Yuan. It's a handsome profit.

While Habahe County also enlarges the planting area of high profit cash crops, like spearmint and licorice. In Aksu, many farmers and herdsmen take up featured breeding as a way to increase income. Many of them breed prairie chicks.

The township subsidized one yuan for each chick and sent us corn fodder. So that we can reduce the loss caused by the drought.
