On the afternoon of August 11th, Xue Haifeng, athlete from XJ and other 2 members of the archery men's team won the bronze medal of the archery men's team competition at 2008 BJ Olympic Games, realizing a historical breakthrough. Xue Haifeng,the main force also made breakthrough of Olympic medal for athletes from XJ since the Olympic Games in 1984. His family members and friends at hometown all feel excited and proud of Xue Haifeng's good performance.

On the afternoon of August 11th, the archery men's team of China and Ukraine struggled hard for the bronze medal. Xue Haifeng performed well with 10-point rings one after another. Finally China team won the game with a score of 222:219.

The 28 year old Xue Haifeng comes from Ili Qiabqar Xibo Autonomous County,home of archery. He began the professional training since he was 15 years old and entered XJ archery team in 1999. And he ranked the 12th at Athen Olympics in 2004. This is the best result of Chinese archery men's team at Olympics at that time.
