Now it is the peak time of summer grain purchase in XJ. Relevant departments of all places offer good services for farmers to accelerate the purchase process while implementing the farmer-benefit policies. Farmers of all places have high enthusiasm in handing in grain. Till August 5th,the State-owned grain purchase and sales enterprises had accumulatively purchased 628 mln kg of wheat, an increase of nearly 148 mln kg compared with that in the same period of last year.

This year, the wheat planting area in Altay Prefecture is 320,000 mu, with a predicted output of 72,000 tons. In Burqin County, besides the comprehensive direct subsidy of farming materials and other favorable policies, the local place also puts forward preferential policies to encourage farmers to hand in grain.

We give 10 yuan subsidy for each mu and 50 yuan subsidy for per mu if the planting area reaches or over 50 mu in one field.

At present, the grain purchase fund of 123 mln Yuan has been in place in Altay Prefecture. There are 36 purchase sites in the prefecture. Till now, the purchased grain has reached 9142 tons.

In order to collect every grain to the storage house, the grain department of Tuoli County, Tacheng Prefecture clears out granaries and enlarges the capacity. They also check the purchase equipments, prepare purchase funds and provide better services for farmers. Till now, the purchased grain in Tacheng Prefecture has reached
61.23 mln kg.

In Awat County of Aksu Prefecture, the purchased grain at present has reached 9500 tons. Among which, 2700 tons have been reserved in central supported granary and the rest is stored in the large granaries of Awat County. All purchased grains have been collected in storage houses.
