Peacekeeping Roit Polices Leave For Haiti

On Aug. 6th, the 95 members of the 2nd echelon under China's 7th peacekeeping roit police unit left from Urumqi of XJ China for Haiti on behalf of Chinese government and Chinese police. 

The roit police unit is composed of 125 members from XJ public security frontier brigade. There are 120 policemen and 5 policeowmen at the average age of 30.5 years old. The unit has received 4-month training at the China Peacekeeping Civpol Training Center in Langfang,Hebei Province and passed the appraisal by the UN. The unit members will join the 30 members of initial unit left on Aug. 4th and carry out peacekeeping mission in Haiti for 8 months. 

During the 4 years in carrying out the mission in Haiti, China's peacekeeping roit police units contribute a lot to maintaining the world peace and setting up Chinese police image. There's no injury, death, action against discipline or putting back, the units win high appraisal from international society and people of Haiti.
