On the morning of July 30th, the 23rd China Adolescents  Science and Technology Innovation  Contest opened in Urumqi. 35 delegations composed of 558 students and 200 instructors of China took part in the 4-day contest. Besides, 46 int'l representatives from Sweden, France, Denmark and India also participated in it. Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of CPC XJ Committee announced the opening of the contest and lit the flame of innovation. Nuer Baikeli and other leaders from CPC XJ Committee, XJ People’s Government, XJ Military Command and XJPCC were also in attendance.After the opening ceremony, Wang Lequan and other leaders watched the contest.Totally 395 innovative items of students and 150 innovative items of the instructors participated in the appraisal. Meanwhile, it will hold scientific and technological practical activities as well as science fiction painting show of the adolescents and children.
