On the evening of July 29th, grand theme evening party Spring of Muqam performed by XJ Muqam Art Troupe was put on stage at Beijing PLA Theatre. It is one of the major domestic cultural program performances for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.and the performance will be put on for 3 days.
In the performance, the 8th Wuxiake Muqam as well as Turpan Muqam, Hami Muqam and Doran Muqam with strong local features fully show the long standing and splendid culture of Uygur Nationality and their best wishes for the Olympic Games.
Audience
It fully shows the artistic style of the ethnic groups of XJ, and its background is picturesque.
In addition, the evening party has simple instruments on its original basis, which vividly show the traditional costume of Uygur nationality ,the music and dancing art.
According to the introduction, the Spring of Muqam is selected as one the major domestic cultural program performances for BJ Olympics from over 500 programs in China.
