There are only 10 days before Beijing Olympic Games.After the written exam,interview and qualification approval following the requirements of Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, 100 volunteers were selected from over 3,600 registers in XJ. And they set off to Beijing from Urumqi on July 28th.
XJ Olympic Volunteers

"Here is Urumqi People's Square, the starting ceremony of XJ volunteers for Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games is being held. All volunteers are ready to go to Beijing and serve for the big event with high enthusiasm."
Among the 100 volunteers,the youngest is 18 years old and the eldest is 62. They are in 9 nationalities, inclusive of Uygur, Han and Kazak, etc.89 volunteers own university diploma, take 89% of the total.Some of them can speak English, Russian and Korean.
Up to July, all the volunteers have received training for 3 months.
At the starting ceremony, the volunteers declaimed the poems in different languages and sang the sign language song of Olympics-Smile Beijing, which show their high zeal for the upcoming Olympic Games.
