On June 19th,the Olympic torch relayed in beautiful Shihezi and Changji, and till then the Olympic torch relay completed successfully in XJ.
At 9:30 am Beijing Time on June 19th,the setting off ceremony of the torch relay in Shihezi was held at Century Park.Before the Olympic torch relay, all the participants mourned for the dead in Wenchuan earthquake for one minute.
Amid people's cheering, the first torch bearer and also the gold medal winner of International Model Aeronautics Championship Han Xinping held high the torch and started the torch relay in Shihezi. The total length of the troch relay in Shihezi is 8 kilometers and 104 torch bearers took part in the relay.People cheered along the roads, and expressed their best wishes for a successful Olympics and the prosperous China.
At 11:00 am Beijing time, the last torch bearer Gao Lingling held the torch and arrived at the last stop of Youqi Square in Shihezi City.Representative of BOCOG presented the Olympic torch and torch relay certificate to Shihezi City. And then the Olympic flame was passed to Changji City.
