Recently, the reconstruction project on 1st contract section of Narat in Xinyuan County to Kuruli of Kuqa County started.  It symbolizes that, the  reconstruction project on Dushanzi-Kuqa highway of National Highway 217 started in an all round way.
The reconstruction project starts at Bayingou of Dushanzi, passes Qiao'erma of Nilek County and Narat of Xinyuan County, and ends at Kuruli in Kuqa County, with a total length of 378.2 km. The estimated investment for the project is 2.98 bln Yuan. And the project is planned to open to traffic in Oct. 2010. To ensure the smooth construction, the highway will be closed for all vehicles.
