On the morning of June 10th, 2008 Tianshan Century Environment Protection Campaign themed by promoting energy conservation and environment protection,and keeping environment safety was launched in Urumqi.
It is learned that, the  campaign is a grand and influential environment protection activity, combining the law supervision with public opinion and mass supervision, aiming to improve people's consciousness on environment and resource protection, and mobilizing the whole society to take part in it. Since 1997, as part of China Century Environment Protection Campaign, Tianshan Century Environment Protection Campaign is held once a year.
