Reporters learned from XJ Development and Reform Commission that, this year, XJ plans to invest 267 mln Yuan to solve the drinking water problem for 600,000 farmers and herdsmen.
According to the statistics, from January to May, XJ has invested 83.79 mln Yuan for rural safety water drinking project, the drinking water problem for 67,800 farmers and herdsmen has been solved.And the project is still under progress.
It is learned that, during the period of 11th 5-Year Program, XJ will invest 1.539 bln Yuan to construct 2882 centralized and scattered safe water supply projects. By  then,3.57 mln people will be able to drink safe water.
