On June 6th, a forest fire happened in Kanas Scenic Spot of Altay Prefecture. After rescuing and fighting by over 600 officers, soldiers,local cadres and masses, the fire was put out on June 8th.
Now there are nearly 500 persons still clearing the fire area through watering and soil burying to prevent reburning. The cause and area of the fire are under investigation.
