Mecxico Troupe

Founded on the 23rd of November, 1966 in what was the high school of the University, by the Prof. ANTONIO RUBIO SAGARNAGA and the teacher MARIA DEL SOCORRO CHAPA RODRIGUEZ...

Their first performance was at the Anniversary of the Fraternal Circle of the Institute of the High School of the University of Chihuahua.

In 1967 it became part of the Department of University Extension, with 60 members. In that same year, the company gave their first tour to the city of Hermosillo, Son., and began in that year a student cultural interchange mainly with the universities of Texas and New Mexico.

In 1968 it is integrated to the Department of Fine Arts of the University of Chihuahua, participating in October as a representative for the State of Chihuahua in the Cultural Olympics of the XIX Olympic Games, and also continued with tours of the southern part of the United States.

from 1967 to date, this company is invited to perform in many countries around the world.
