On the morning of June 1st, Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of CPC XJ Committee, and other leaders of XJ went to Urumqi Youth Palace and celebrated the Int'l Children's Day with children of all ethnic groups in XJ.

Wang Lequan sent the festival greetings to the children of XJ on behalf of CPC XJ Committee and XJ People's Government, and extended greetings to the diligent and selfless educators.

Wang Lequan also confirmed the disaster-relief initiative by the young pioneers in the activity of Hand in Hand. He said,the initiative this time also shows the care of children of all ethnic groups in XJ to the children in disaster-hit areas and their love for the country.
