Up to now, Urumqi Railway Bureau has dispatched 31 special trains undertaking the disaster-relief task to the quake  area in Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi, and the trains have transported aviation paraffin,gasoline, diesel oil,liquefied  gas, food and other disaster relief materials, which effectively meet the urgent demand of the areas.
Up to May 26th, the carriages undertaking the disaster-relief task dispatched by Urumqi Railway Bureau numbered 898.  Besides, the bureau also transported 16,150 tents as well as cotton, flour, rice and edible oil.
In order to help the quake areas to transfer injuries, the bureau also prepares two trains with the capacity of 2000  passengers. Now the attendants and 80 young volunteers who have been trained by the Red Cross Society are ready and  waiting for order.
