Recently, 1st phase project of Awat County Bio-power generation under Nat'l Bio-energy Co., the first bio -power generation plant in northwest China completed construction and was put into trial operation.
Bio-power generation uses stalks and forestry waste as fuel to generate power. The project, invested with 290 mln Yuan has 2 phases. It can use 70,000 tons of cotton stalks, bring local farmers 10 mln Yuan of income increase in one year, and about 300 people can get employed.
The introduction of bio-power generation project bears great significance for saving resources and increasing farmer's income.
