Of late days, 9 aquatic products and 1.5 mln mu water area of Bosten Lake passed the annual organic inspection by State Environmental Protection  Administration.
Organic food include all farm byproducts from organic agriculture production system, which are produced and processed according to the regulations of int'l  organic agriculture production and proved by separate certificate body. If the aquatic product gets organic certificate, it can enter the int'l market.
Bosten lake is the largest fishery production base in XJ and has the largest organic fish production water area in nationwide. In 2007, the aquatic products  in the Lake topped over 7800 tons, valuing at 49.07 mln Yuan. At present, Bohu County is preparing for the organic certificate application work for crabs in  Bosten lake and then the organic aquatic products can increase to 10 breeds.
