I Geographic Position
The mine is located at southeast of Hami City and about 145 kilometers from Hami, the
geographical coordinates is east longitude: 94~ 45~ 30 '~ --94 ~ 49' 00" ; North latitude:
41~ 40' 30" --41 ~ 42' 30" , and the area is 17.05 square kilometers.
I Progress of the Project
In 2004, Geological Exploration departments for Non-ferrous Metals has carried out
comprehensive analysis upon the materials, on the basis of technological results achieved
before in fields of geologic prospecting, physical prospecting and chemical prospecting,
use various kinds of technological methods to carry out iron mine general investigation
at this mine, the thickness of mine layer is about 2.3 meters, by analysis upon sampling,
found that the average content of iron is 35.0 percent, phosphor is 0.3 percent, and sulfur
is 0.28 percent.
I Outlines for Geologic Working
On the basis of current materials, geologic mapping, geochemical profile survey and
drilling, trough and well prospecting has been carried out, and deep exploration and
evaluation upon Hudong iron mine has also been carried out, these work have found the
geologic mineralization rules and mineralization enrichment rules of mine, and made final
conclusion on the distributing scope and scale of mine body and quality, variety, grade of
iron ore, and the exploitation prospect.

The estimated project general investigation charges are 2.5 million Yuan.
