II Geographic Position
The Huaping manganese mine is located at southeast of Hami city and about 170 kilom-
eters from Hami, the geographical coordinates is east longitude: 94~ 24' 00" --94~ 26'
00" ; Northlatitude:41~ 30' 00" --41~ 31' 00" .
II Progress of the Project
By 1:20,000 geologic mapping and gravity survey, 5 better gravity abnormal zones have
been obtained.
I Resource Condition
The manganese layer traverses the whole zone, width: 500~700 meters, the length of m-
ine body of manganese oxide is 10~130 meters in general, the thickness is about 3 mete-
rs, the average grade of manganese is 20~30 percent in general, and the highest grade
can reach above 50 percent, besides containing manganese, the mine body has cobalt.
I Outlines for Geologic Working
1.1:20,000 geologic sketch 2 square kilometers; 2.1:5,000 polarization, magnetic me-
thod and gravity profile survey 30 kilometers; 3. Drilling prospecting 1,000 meters;
4. Trough prospecting 2,000 cubic meters.
I Estimation of Investment and Forms of Cooperation
The estimated project verifying charges are 1.6 million Yuan.
Form of Cooperation: use prospecting right as shares to carry out risk exploration, j-
oint venture and cooperative cooperation forms can be used.
