Xinjiang provincial survey department will remeasure the altitude of Aiding Lake, the lowest continental point in China.
Aiding Lake is the lowest place in China and the second lowest place in the world. In 1978, China surveyed that the lowest altitude of Aiding Lake is 155 meters under the sea level.
Aiding Lake was shaped 200 mln years ago because of the movement of Himalayas. Its altitude might change through the years.
