Confucius Institutes, developing rapidly in recent years, are prominent all over the world. Today, there are 155 branches of the Confucius Institute in the world, in fifty-three countries and regions.

Xu Lin, the Director of the Office of the International Chinese Language Council and the Director General of the Board of Trustees, Confucius Institute Headquarters, said that China will promote the development of the Confucius Institute and provide good learning conditions for Chinese learners around the world according to a policy of steady development and quality assurance. China will ensure teaching quality, establish and improve the quality of the certification system, and publish many high quality Chinese teaching materials.
