The 17th China Urumqi Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Fair has opened at the Xinjiang International Exhibition Center. In a break from the past, the fair is being hosted jointly by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for Promotion of International Trade, and the government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The increased support has transformed the regional trade show into a national-level exhibition.

Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of CPC XJ Committee, Abulaiti Abudurexiti,vice chairman of CPPCC National Committee attended the opening ceremony. Yu Ping, vice chairman of China Council for Promotion of International Trade and China Chamber of International Commerce presided over the ceremony.
At 11 o'clock Beijing Time, Wang Lequan announced the opening of the 17th Urumqi Trade Fair.

Nuer Baikeli, deputy secretary of CPC XJ Committee, chairman of XJ Uygur Autonomous Region delivered an opening speech.
On behalf of Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Fang Aiqing, assistant minister congratulated the opening of the Fair and expressed warm welcome for the coming guests and friends at home and abroad.
