Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of China, China Xinjiang Urumqi Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Fair (short for Urumqi Fair), is the biggest international fair in Northwest China, connecting markets of Russia, Central Asia and West China as a bridge, providing business opportunities in the development of the western region.During Urumqi Fair 2003, the volume of export and import is USD 1,674 million, foreign economic cooperation USD 482 million, domestic trade & economic cooperation RMB 51,251 million. There are 18 kinds of export commodities whose volume exceed USD 10 million, as cotton, tomato ketchup, sliced polyester, garment, small articles of daily use, thick chilli sauce, cable, shoes, rice, cotton yarn, seamless tube, transformer, radio-tape recorder, motorcycle, fruit juice, metallurgical equipment, instant noodles, building materials, and 12 kinds of import commodities, as copper, waste copper, steel, petroleum, waste steel, oxhide, chemical fertilizer, liquefied petroleum gas, copper ore, chromium, waste aluminum, heavy oil.

    Scale: The total area of the exhibition is 25,000 sq. m., including 1,100 indoor standard stands (3m*3m), 160 outdoor stands, 3,300- sq. m. open area for large- sized equipment.

    Schedule:1. The preparation period is from 26th to 18:00 pm of 31st, Aug.2. Central & West Asia High Level Forum for Economic & Trade Cooperation will be held on Aug. 30th-31st.3. Opening cocktail and theatrical performance will be in evening of Aug. 31st.4. Opening ceremony is on Sept. 1st. Exhibits should not be on sale until Sept. 5th.5. During Urumqi Fair, there are Sino-Foreign enterprises meetings, projects & products introductions, enterprise awards, signing ceremonies, business investigation and tour, etc.6. The exhibits dismantling time is 14:00-22:00 pm of Sept. 8th.

    Price: The price of each 3m*3m standard stand is USD 1,500 for the central halls, USD 1,000 for the first floor, and USD 30 per sq. m. for open area. 10-15% surcharge will be made for corner, peninsular, and island stands. A discount will be given depending on the number of stands ordered. Every participant enterprise should pay USD 50 for enlisting in Exhibitor??s Directory and website - Urumqi Fair Online. The deadline for application for stand is July 31st.Each indoor standard stand has 3 panel walls (2.5m high), a table, 2 chairs, 2 fluorescent strip lights (40W), a socket (220V), and a fascia panel with exhibitor??s name in both Chinese and English.

    Invitation & Visa:Please contact Urumqi Fair Office for an invitation, and then go to the Embassy or Consulate General of China for your visa. Arriving in Urumqi, you are required to proceed to the Service Center of Urumqi Fair for visitor ID cards free of charge, holding your passports and one-inch photos, for your convenience for admission and business talks.
