(XJTV)--After 6 years of temporary opening-up, on March 28th, the state Category-A port -- Dulata Port in Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, opens officially. Dulata Port is the nearest one to Alma Ata, the former capital of Kazakhstan among Chinese frontier ports. The State and XJ government successively invested over 30 mln RMB for its infrastructure construction. Thus Dulata Port becomes one of the most expedient and the most economical land transport passages as well as the economic corridor that connects China with the West Asian Countries. From 1998 to 2005, the total exported cargo at the port reached 177,000 tons. And the trade value reached 429 mln USD.
